Aw bad news, this morning we lose another two of the group. The only other girl left got sick yesterday. For a while she didn’t know why she was here. Very confused and sick. So hubby has to go too. They were at the clinic last night and getting air helicopter out this morning. She can’t walk well enough to go down on foot. Later on in the morning we got the news she was ok to go down on the back of a horse so avoided the helicopter costs.
And so we go on to Lobouche tonight to another cold lodge. But heck it’s better than a cold tent still.
On this trip there are 5 people like me doing the full expedition . Three mountains. But for the first mountain Island Peak an additional 5 joined us just for that one. Of those there’s only one left. So now from 10 we are a group of 6.  These two pics you can clearly see the mountain right in the middle (like an ‘island’ on its own. This will be our first proper mountain after Everest Base Camp, Island Peak.Rescue helicopters run all the time when the weather permits.
