So today is pretty uneventful. I’m due to start making my way up the hill again day after tomorrow.
Bob was supposed to get helicopter down but by the time his insurance people had okayed it and received the paperwork, the weather had closed in down the valley and his chopper was stuck in Lukla unable to fly up. So we have Bob for another night. I’m not sure that he’s that enamoured at that prospect lol. But he should be off in the morning.
I think when your mind is turned towards home then you just want to get there as quickly as you can and maybe any sadness at leaving the mountain is replaced by slight annoyance at delay in getting off
